The short version: this is a referral website. Enquiries are passed to independent tree contractors and the site owner does not carry out the work. Contractor licensing, insurance and competence are not verified on your behalf, so you need to sight the certificate of currency and the qualifications yourself before anyone starts.
It also makes clear that the content on this site — including the local guides and the pages about NSW tree law — is general information, not professional advice about your tree or your dispute.

The short version: these are the terms on which you use the site. They define the referral arrangement, state that the contract for any work is between you and the contractor, set out your responsibility for obtaining council approval, cover intellectual property in the site content, limit liability to the extent the law allows, and note that nothing overrides your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy policy
The short version: it explains what personal information is collected when you send an enquiry, how it is used, and — importantly for a referral service — that your name, contact details and property address are disclosed to independent contractors so they can quote. It also covers cookies, overseas storage, retention periods, security, and how to access or correct your information or make a complaint.
Things worth knowing anyway
Council approval for tree work is the property owner's responsibility, not the contractor's, and the penalty for cutting a protected tree without it falls on the owner. Three different councils operate across this service area — see the service areas page and the approval guide.
